The power of words

I love words and the power they have to convey specific ideas. And usually it is the thoughts of others that have the most impact on my thinking. My ideas are not so different than some of the best thinkers of our time, but their ability to  capture the simplicity of the profound is a real gift. Their words carry power to change and motivate and bring clarity to my own thoughts.

My quote today is from C.S. Lewis:

“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.”

We cannot undo what we have already done, but we can consciously create a point in time where we expect more of ourselves. When we choose to be better and do better, that is the beginning of conscious change. And we need to measure those changes in very small steps, which is the best way to create the momentum that change needs to move ahead.

It takes time to create the masterpiece that is our lives.  It is a work in progress, without end, from start to finish. Take the time to step back and appreciate what you have created and catch the vision of what a life you can create!

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and begin to feel the excitement about what can go right…that is where the masterpiece begins!
